RACE COURSE

The organizers will ensure the race is well marked but it is the racer's responsibility to know the course and follow the signs in the trails.  In events of this nature there is always the risk of running off-course, either by runner error, course marking error, or any other reason.  Racers must complete the course as it is mapped out.  Changing the course by not running along the race route is against the rules and the racer will be disqualified.

WAIVER

Adults - sign waiver when registering online.

Kids - parent to sign waiver when registering online.

WATER/AID STATIONS

There will be a water/aid station at the start/finish area as well as somewhere on the race course.   BE PREPARED - BRING your own water (water belt, Camelbak, etc) if you require additional water.

FIRST AID

There will be a representative on site who is trained in First Aid.

SAFETY

For racer safety there will be no dogs, strollers or baby joggers, iPods or headphones or Nordic walking poles allowed.  As this is an off road race the terrain will be uneven - please wear appropriate footwear.  The trails are open to other community members (non-racers) during race time.  Please be aware of people on the trails and behave courteously.

PHOTOGRAPHS

The Wood Buffalo Trail Running Series organizers and volunteers will be taking photographs and videos during race day.  If you do not wish to be photographed please advise us prior to the race.  Photos and videos may be used on the race website and other promotional items including race brochures, posters, and other media without compensation.
